Qualcomm has a 12 inches UHD Samsung tablet prototype to demo



The United States planted, global manufacturer for semiconductors and the company that designs and markets wireless telecommunication equipments and services, Qualcomm Incorporated has been demonstrating the LTE Broadcasting, during the French Open event, at Roland Garros in Paris, France.

Okay folks, if you dont find anything interesting in that, well the company has been using a Samsung prototype device or tablet, which almost looks like any other new generation slates from the manufacturer available in the markets presently. What we are talking about, here is the Ultra High Definition screen, also known as 4K UHD display on board of this new exclusive prototype build. The Americans were reportedly demoing the LTE Broadcasting capabilities on the tablet, where the video was being streamed in 720p HD quality. The representative from the firm was able to pull other additional windows over the top of the playing video (as seen from the above picture), showing-off the actual clarity on screen, as read from techradar.

Unfortunately, the internal specifications of the slate was not shared by the company, but techradar was able to confirm that this tablet is running over Qualcomms Snapdragon 801 processor. The companys Senior Vice President of Product Management Raj Talluri, added that, this kind of 4K UHD screened tablets will be out officially before this year comes to an end.

It is also said that, once we such tablets coming to the consumer markets, it will ship with Qualcomms new 805 processor, than the current 801 we see from the above and below device. Those are also suggested to pack special 4K features like video upscaling and introduction of new video format, HEVC or High Efficiency Video Coding, which will compress your data twice compared to AVC or Advanced Video Coding.

Samsung ATIV Tab 3 unveiled as world’s thinnest Windows 8 tablet

Samsung has expanded its tablet range with the Samsung ATIV Tab 3 lining up as the world’s thinnest Windows 8 tablet.


Cut from the same cloth as the company’s Android range of Samsung Galaxy Tab offerings, the ATIV Tab 3 pairs a sleek form factor with Microsoft’s OS and a range of premium innards. The Microsoft Surface Pro rival lines up at just 8.2mm thick and has been announced alongside the convertible Samsung ATIV Q.

“These innovative devices have been designed with busy people in mind, and the adaptability they offer is better suited to busy lives than any tablet on the market,” Simon Stanford, Vice President of IT & Mobile Division for Samsung Electronics UK & Ireland said of the two ATIV Tab 3 and ATIV Q.

More than just a super skinny Windows 8 device, the Samsung ATIV Tab 3 plays host to a vast array of
premium components, kicked off with the tablet’s 10.1-inch display. Packing a 1366 x 766p resolution, the touchscreen offering also supports a 1024 reaction point digitiser compatible with the Samsung S-Pen stylus which comes with the tablet.

Weighing in at just 550g, the Samsung ATIV Tab 3 is a svelte offering, with the arrival of Samsung S Note 2.0 providing improved input options and more detailed handwriting recognition over past S-Pen hosting tablets and convertibles.

Powered by an Intel ATOM Z2760 processor, the Samsung ATIV Tab 3 specs sheet is further enhanced by 2GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. As is now customary, the ATIV Tab 3 boasts cameras both front and rear, with the integrated snappers able to shoot video at 720p.

With a claimed 10 hour battery life, the Samsung ATIV Tab 3, which is available in white, sees the usual Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity options further enhanced by a single micro USB 2.0 connection alongside microHDMI and microSD ports.

Seven inches Samsung phone tablet passes through TENAA



The South Korean electronics manufacturer Samsungs new upcoming undisclosed device passed through FCC equivalent, Chinas certification process, Telecommunication Equipment Certification Center or TENAA. Why we call it the phone/tablet, as you can see folks, the unannounced Samsung device seems to feature a dedicated earpiece on the top, that looks almost like the ASUS made Fonepad 7, something new from the Samsung make.

As for as its design is concerned, the Samsung phone/tablet looks to deliver that faux leather feel on itss back with the speaker grills towards to bottom right corner. There is also the power button and volume up and down rockers fitted on the right side of the device. On the front we have Samsungs traditional home button with capacitive options and back buttons on either sides of the home key.

The new unit from Sammy, is reportedly model named SM-T2558, said to come out of the box with a Quad-Core processor, speeding at 1.2GHz, seven-inches High Definition screen of 1280 x 720 resolution display, microSD card slot for memory expansion and 1.5 gigabytes of Random Access Memory (RAM), an eight megapixels main camera on the back with LED flash light, two megapixels secondary camera and featuring Androids version 4.3 Jelly Bean on top. Also that China Mobile 4G LTE branding on the back leads us to the conclusion, that this yet to go official tablet will attribute fourth generation LTE capabilities on board. The dimensions of the unit reads, 191.24 x 99.7 x 8.95 millimeters on scale and weighs 245 grams on mass.

Archos announces three phones and a tablet



Archos unveils four new Android devices ahead of their Mobile World Congress Press event. The French consumer electronics manufacturer have gone official with two new smartphones, one phablet and an eight-inches 4G slate.

First popping out from the lot, is the new Archos 50c Oxygen sporting a Octa-Core MediaTek MT6592 processor, a Cortex-A7 Central Processing Unit (CPU), clocked at 1.7GHz, a Mali 450MP4 Graphics Processing Unit (GPU), five-inches IPS technology screen of 1280 x 720 resolution display, eight gigabytes of on board memory (expandable via microSD card slot), one gigabyte of Random Access Memory (RAM), eight megapixels primary shooter with BSI sensor and LED flash, capable of 1080p video encoding, two megapixels front facing secondary camera, Bluetooth 4.0 and 3G HSPA+ networks, 2,000mAh powered battery and runs Androids version 4.2 Jelly Bean over the hood. The whole body measurements are 145 x 69.8 x 7.64 millimeters in its dimensions.

Second from the lane, is a phablet, the Archos 64 Xenon packs a Quad-Core MediaTek MT6582 chipset, Cortex-A7 CPU running at 1.3GHz, a Mali 400MP4 GPU, 6.4-inches IPS screen of 1280 x 720 resolution display, four gigs of internal memory (expandable via microSD card slot), one gigabyte of RAM, same eight megapixels sensor on the back with BSI tech and LED flash, capable of capturing 1080p videos, two megapixels front facer, 3G HSPA+ connectivity support, 2,800mAh powered battery and runs on Androids version 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box. The handset is measured at 90.6 x 170.7 x 9.3 millimeters on scale.

The third phone is the Archos 40b Titanium, featuring a Dual-Core MediaTek MT6572 SoC with Cortex-A7, speeding at 1.3GHz, four-inches IPS screen of 800 x 480 resolution pixels, four gigabytes of ROM (expandable via microSD card slot), 512 megabytes RAM, five megapixels main camera on the back with BSI sensor and LED flash light, 720p video shooting facilities, VGA webcamera, HSPA+ connections, 1,400mAh powered battery and runs again the same version of Androids mobile operating system on board. The phone is scaled at 125 x 61 x 8.5 millimeters on ruler.



Finally it is the slate time, the big guy from the companys latest announcement, the Archos 80 Helium 4G tablet, coming out of the box with a Quad-Core 1.2GHz Qualcomm MSM8926 Snapdragon 400 processor and Cortex-A7 chipset, an Adreno 305 Graphics Processing Unit (GPU), eight-inches IPS tech screen of 1024 x 764 resolution display, eight gigs on on board memory (expandable via microSD acrd slot), one gigabyte of Random Access Memory (RAM), five megapixels main camera with BSI sensor with LED flash light, 1080p video recording capabilities, two megapixels front facer, Bluetooths version 4.0 and fourth generation (4G) LTE Cat4, 3,500mAh powered battery and Android version 4.3 Jelly Bean on top. The slate is marked at 213 x 155 x 10.5 millimeters in total dimensions.

Archos from France will show case their four new announcements at their MWC trade show floor, where surprisingly the 50c Oxygen, 64 Xenon and 40b Titanium will come to the markets for about $199, respectively and the eight-incher will hit the store shelves for 249 United States Dollars.

Android Tablet Market hold 62

Android is an operating system for a tablet at most a lot in the market, namely master share 61,9% in 2013. No less than 120 million units sold last year Android tablet, up from 53,3 million units or with a market share of 45,8% in 2012. According to Gartner, as cited by Computerworld.

In Android tablet, Samsung, which controlled the market, with a share of 19.1%, or sell no fewer than 37,4 million units. But overall the market, Apple is still the largest seller of vendors as a tablet. Last year Apple sold 70,4 million units, there is an increase in sales of 61.5 million units in 2012. However Apples market share fell from 52,8% in 2012, to 36% in the past year. This is due to the growth of the market of tablet are very rapidly.

Total sales tablet worldwide by 2013 as much as 195,4 million units. Sales supported by the low-end segment, small screen, tablet and the purchase by the buyer who first bought the tablet.

Windows Tablet only 2.1% market although there are sales growth from 1.2 million to 4 million units a year ago.

In addition to Apple and Samsung, which belong to the top 5 most tablet is the seller, Amazon, Asus and Lenovo. Asus sold 11 million units, the Amazon of 9.4 million, and Lenovo 6.5 million. Lenovo experienced rapid growth last year, the 198%, thus reaching a market share of 3.3%. According to Gartner, Lenovos success is driven by the launch of the new tablet models during the second quarter of last year, and also the sale of Yoga including Windows tablet models sold well.

From the side of a growth market, Samsung is a vendor with the highest sales growth, which is 336%. According to the Gartner it is caused by the expansion and enhancement of the Galaxy tablet which is coupled with a vigorous marketing.

Tablet Ainol Novo 7 Crystal 2 Quad Core Screen 7 Inchi

Return reportedly one of the producers from the Chinese state that Ainol has officially released a new android tablet that they named Ainol Novo 7 Crystal 2, which is a tablet with an affordable sales price or cheaper just sold for about Rp. 1 million, and even though the tablet is sold at a low price, but the specifications contained in it is quite advanced.
The specifications of the tablet Ainol Novo 7 Crystal 2, among others, is to have a touch Lcd with a size of 7 inches with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels, powered by a processor that is not the toughness of the Samsung Exynos 4 and Nvidia Tegra 3 processor but with Actions ATM7029 equipped with GPU Vivante GC1000, of course, the tablet is also equipped with a capacity of 1 GB RAM and 8 GB of internal memory, not to mention there is also a MicroSD card slot as an additional facility for the user memory storage capacity.
