HTC officially announces Desire 616



High Tech Computer Corporation or HTCs new smartphone is here from their existing Desire line-up of affordable Android running smartphones, named as Desire 616. The handset you see from the above and below official Press shots have already made it to the web, back in March, where we first saw the phone leak in renders of the certification filing of Chinas certification process, TENAA alongside the rumored list of internals and then came in several real life hands-on photographs of the talked about smartphone.

The newly announced phone is made out of polycarbonate chassis painted with glossy tints, which will join other budget friendly Desire smartphones from the Taiwanese company and will be available in White and Grey color options, surprisingly not listed in Red shade as seen before. The phone will be initially made available in China, followed by other Asian countries and Russia, where there wont be any meaning in hoping for the smartphone to come to United States.

HTCs new Desire 616 will come out of the box with a Octa-Core MediaTek processor, with clock speed of 1.4GHz, five-inches High Definition screen of 1280 x 720 resolution display, four gigabytes of internal mass storage (expandable via microSD card slot up to 32 GB), one gigabyte of Random Access Memory, eight megapixels primary camera with LED flash light and 1080p video capture capability, a two megapixels secondary front facing snapper, that can shoot videos at 720p. For connectivity, the phone will have Bluetooth 4.0, dual-SIM (regular SIM + microSIM card slot) over 3G UMTS and HSPA network support, a 2,000mAh powered battery and runs Androids version 4.2 Jelly Bean with Sense User Interface on top.

The new Desire 616 phone will feature One 2014 (M8) like on-screen navigation buttons and other HTCs software features like BlinkFeed homescreen and more. The device measures about 142 x 71.9 x 9.15 millimeters in dimensions and weighs around 150 grams on mass.

OnePlus officially announces One 2014 Flagship Killer and Never Settle CyanogenMod phone



Today morning, OnePlus had an event scheduled at their homeland, where we have the phone from the rumor and leaks mill officially unveiled and announced. OnePlus being a start-up company from China, known for producing smartphones, that was founded on 17th of December, 2013 has their first and latest smartphone and the companys 2014 flagship, the OnePlus One introduced. The new phone from the Chinese people will run CyanogenMods custom ROM version 11S out of the box, which is based on Androids version 4.4 KitKat, also attributing a custom theme engine allowing users to customize the way it looks, where it is also read that the people from the company has been working with the CM team for a while to develop the new neat looking flat minimal User Interface and high-end internal specification.

Talking about the newly introduced smartphones design, the handsets is completely flat from its front and is build with the special material of magnesium, which brings down the OnePlus Ones weight to only 162 grams in total, making it the worlds lightest 5.5-inches smartphone. The Chinese firm also boasts about their speaker setup, where they quotes it to be the worlds first phone to feature bottom facing stereo speakers powered by American audio electronics company, JBL. There is no real branding or logo on the front screen, giving it the premium dark feel, with really narrow and thin bezels on either sides of the display, going beautifully curved and rounded on the four edges.

The One will rock a Quad-Core Qualcomm 8974AC powered Snapdragon 801 processor, speeding at 2.5GHz with Krait 400 cores, JDI made 5.5-inches Full High Definition screen of 1920 x 1080 resolution display, marked at 401 pixels-per-inches, 16 and 64 gigabytes of internal mass storage option, three gigabytes of LPDDR3 Random Access Memory (RAM), 13 megapixels main camera on the back made of Sonys second generation Exmor IMX214 sensor, with six lenses tech shooting at f/2.0 aperture, with shutter speed as quick as 0.3 seconds, a dedicated LED flash light, taking great shots at low light conditions, recording videos at 4K resolution pixels, a five megapixels front facing secondary camera, capturing videos at 1080p. From the connectivity department, there is Bluetooth 4.0 and fourth generation LTE network support as highlights, a 3,100mAh powered battery life and running CyanogenMod 11S custom ROM over the hood. Other new features include voice activation, smart gestures, and more.

The phone is measured at 152.9 x 75.9 x 8.9 millimeters in dimensions, coming to the store shelves in Sandstone Black and Silk White color options. The phone will be widely available in countries starting from Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, United Kingdom to United States, soon. OnePluss Customer Service team is ready to serve its users in all launch countries. OnePlus One smartphone will also be available through company based personalized invite system. Currently the 16 GB Silk White OnePlus One is priced at 299 United States Dollars and 64 GB Sandstone Black model will cost you $349.

Update: The OnePluss 2014 front runner, One will have personalized textured backs that replaces the stock with Bamboo, Wood, Denim and Kevlar.

Samsung officially sanctions Galaxy Star 2 Plus and Ace NXT way back in India



Samsung has announced couple of new Galaxy branded smartphones in India for the countrys affordable market. The new devices out from the big South Korean multinational manufacturer is named as Samsung Galaxy Star 2 Plus SM-G350E (as seen from the above picture). "The Samsung GALAXY Star 2 Plus is packed with all the core features that define the smartphone. From hardware to software, inside and out, it’s a phone that delivers an optimized experience for doing everything you love" mentioned Samsung.

The comes the Galaxy Ace NXT, with model name as SM-313H (as seen from the below picture). Boasting, "GALAXY Ace NXT: Differentiated offering 1. Slimmer Design 2. 3G enabled 3. Low-light photography"The new phone from Samsung will come featuring Android version 4.4.2 KitKat out of the packaging and with decent middle ranged internal specifications.

Both the new smartphones have already made it to the countryside official Samsung online retailing site eStore, where the newly unveiled Samsung Galaxy Star 2 Plus handset is priced at 7335 Indian Rupees, that around 122 United Sates Dollars, available in both Black and White shades and also the Galaxy Ace NXT, will cost you the same bucks, coming only in the Black tint. Unfortunately, the devices are listed as out of stock on the webpage, at the moment.

The brand new pair from the phone maker will come with identical internals, but the Galaxy Star 2 Plus will have a 4.3-inches screen size and the Galaxy Ace NXT will sport a slightly smaller four-inches display, twain with WVGA TFT display panel of 480 x 800 resolution pixels. Star 2 Plus embraces an unknown 1.2GHz processor, where else the Ace NXT will attribute Spreadtrum Dolphin Single-Core A7 chipset, speeding at 1.2GHz. The couple will have a four gigabytes of internal mass storage (expandable via microSD card slot) and 512 megabytes of Random Access Memory, each with a three megapixels primary shooter on the back with LED flash light. For connectivity, the phone has support to Bluetooth 4.0, 3G HSPA+, GPRS, EDGE, WiFi, GPS/AGPS and the phone is released as Duos versions, meaning dual-SIM standby over GSM + GSM networks. Lastly, theres also a 1,800mAh powered battery on board.

Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy Note 10 1

Samsungs smartphone lovers, there is good news coming from this Korean smartphone vendor, namely the presence of Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1. Recently, they have officially announced the smartphone. This story is taken from GSM arena and also from Samsung mobile press blog. The following is the news:



This is the second appearance of the Galaxy Note 10.1 after it was returned to the R&D center for a specs update and now the tablet is as ready for action as it could be. It comes with Samsungs very own Exynos 4412 chipset with a quad-core 1.4GHz processor, Mali 400MP GPU and 2GB of RAM.

As its name suggests, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 comes with 10.1" screen, which as usual for the companys slates is of the PLS TFT variety. It features a resolution of 1280x800 pixels, making for a pixel density of 149ppi.

The Galaxy Note 10.1 comes in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB versions, all of which feature a stylus dubbed the S Pen. This time around though, the tablet offers a slot for the S Pen, instead of making you carry it separately. Just like the original Galaxy Note, the 10.1 comes with some exclusive apps to take advantage of the stylus, including S Note, S Planner, Crayon physics, Adobe® Photoshop® Touch, and Polaris Office. Theres also palm rejection support, so you wont hit any buttons by accident with your palm when drawing with the S Pen.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 comes with a 5MP main snapper with LED flash and a 1.9MP font-facing camera for video conferencing. Theres also a microSD card slot, and on the 3G models - a SIM card slot, as well.

Offered in silver and white, the Galaxy Note 10.1 will come in three connectivity options: a WiFi-only version, a WiFi-and-3G HSPA-Plus connectivity version at launch, and a WiFi-and-LTE version later this year. The tablet is available in Korea, Germany, the US and the UK. Itll gradually be rolled-out to other global markets some time this month. European pricing is set at €479 for the Wi-Fi only version and €599 for the 3G-enabled units.

Samsung Galaxy Note for T Mobile Officially Announced

After recent rumors about the presence of Samsung Galaxy Note for T-Mobile, now they officially announcing about this smartphone. Despite lacking LTE support, the T-Mobile Galaxy Note still comes with a Qualcomm S3 chipset, instead of the Exynos 4210 used in the international version. The flip side is that this Samsung Galaxy Note gains support for what T-Mo call 4G - 42Mbps HSPA, while the Note N7000 network support is limited to 21 Mbps.




To make up for coming so late to the market the T-Mobile version comes running ICS out of box and is also SAFE-certified, which means it has a full suite of enterprise-ready features and capabilities, including support for top-tier mobile device management (MDM) providers, on-device AES256-bit encryption, enhanced support for Microsoft Exchange, as well as integrated support for a range of virtual private network (VPN) solutions.

The Samsung Galaxy Note is expected to be available from select T-Mobile retail stores and online via the companys website in the coming weeks. Theres no word on pricing or pre-orders just yet.
