HTC today has finally announced one of their long awaited and talked about smartphone for the fall, at the International Franchise Association (IFA) trade exhibition in Berlin, Germany. The newly unveiled rather high-end handset will join the Taiwanese companys line-up of their existing Desire branded Android powered smartphones, coming to the store shelves later this month, dubbed as the new HTC Desire 820 with the unibody polycarbonate construction, available in a number of color options to select from, Marble White, Santorini White, Tangerine White, Tuxedo Grey, Milky-way Grey, Saffron Grey, Flamingo Grey, Blue Mist, to Monarch Orange.
So, the new smartphone out from HTC moments back will be their successor model to the previously announced Desire 816 smartphone, will be the industrys first smartphone to feature an Octa-Core 64-bit architecture based Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615 processor, that has got eight Cortex-A53 cores, with four of them speeding at 1.5GHz to handle heavy tasks and another set of four handling light errand at 1.0GHz. The device will also come out of the box featuring an Adreno 420 Graphics Processing Unit and there is a large 5.5-inches screen on the front of 1280 x 720 resolution display, 16 gigabytes of on board mass storage (expandable via microSD card slot up to 128 GB), two gigabytes of Random Access Memory, you will find a 13 megapixels primary shooter on the back with BSI sensor and a 28 millimeters lens with an aperture of f/2.2, and interestingly on the front you are offered with an eight megapixels secondary snapper for great selfie photographs and video conversations, both the shooters are capable of recording videos at Full High Definition 1080p. From the connectivity department, the new HTC made Desire 820 is stuffed with Bluetooth 4.0 with aptX, 802.11n WiFi, GLONASS, GPS, microUSB 2.0 port, and for networks it supports 3G HSPA+ and WCDMA along with 4G LTE TD-SCDMA. The unit has got a 2,600mAh powered battery with 22 hours of talk time on 3G. Desire 820 runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat version straight out right with proprietary Sense 6 User Interface over the hood, where the company has promised us to update their new smartphone to to the latest build of Googles mobile operating system, Android L in the near future, which is completely based on the 64-bit processing.
