LG announces Volt for Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile in United States

LG has announced a new smartphone, dubbed as the Volt to the Statesides two Sprint Corporation subsidiary prepaid carriers, Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile. The new handset from the South Korean consumer electronics manufacturer is just a renamed model, which is already available to the public, named as LG L90, that was announced back in February, alongside the L Series III set of Android powered KitKat smartphones.

The phone will be available in Black color option for the Boost Mobile customers and in White for Virgin Mobile purchasers. Accordingly, the newly introduced LG Volt will be the carriers first ever smartphone to debut their Sprints Spark facility on board, which is the next generation enhanced 4G LTE support. You can now grab the phone from both the prepaid carriers at 179 United States Dollars.

Volt from LG will come out of the box  a Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, speeding at 1.2GHz, 4.7-inches IPS qHD screen of 960 x 540 resolution display, in protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 2, eight gigabytes of internal mass memory (expendable via microSD card slot), one gigabyte of Random Access Memory, eight megapixels primary camera on the back with LED flash and BSI sensor, a 1.3 megapixels front facer, Bluetooth 4.0, Near Field Communication and 4G LTE as connectivity highlights, a 3,000mAh powered battery and running Androids version 4.4 KitKat with companys own customized User Interface on top. There is also other LGs proprietary features like the Knock Code, Quick Remote, Voice Mate, QuickMemo, QSlide and more.

China Mobile and Samsung goes official with Galaxy Beam 2

The South Korean electronics manufacturers Chinese department lists a new middle ranged phone to their official web domain, the successor and second generation model to their previously announced Galaxy Beam, this time the South Koreans renames their unit as the new Galaxy Beam 2.

Like its last generation handset, the new Galaxy Beam too packs in that dedicated "professional-grade" digital mini projector on its top, which is capable of screening WVGA resolution images to any flat surface, in a complete stylish metallic design body.

Other internal specification includes a Quad-Core 1.2GHz powered processor, 4.66-inches WVGA screen panel of 480 x 800 resolution display, microSD card slot for further mass memory expansion, one gigabyte of Random Access Memory (RAM), five megapixels main camera on the back with LED flash light, a VGA front facing snapper, Bluetooth 4.0 and 3G connection support on Chinas TD-SCDMA network, a 2,600mAh powered battery and running Androids version 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box. The newly announced Samsung made Galaxy Beam 2 is measured at 134.5 x 70 x 11.64 millimeters in dimensions and weighs 165 grams on mass.

As the branding on the phone suggests, it has already arrived on the countrys China Mobile 3G, but we doubt its global availability, anytime soon.

How to enable local languages in mobile browsers

The use of mobile phones has been dramatically increasing since its inception, this rate has increased more quicker after introducing mobile internet, now people can do about all the task what they used to do in a computer, now browsing a website on mobile is like browsing a website on your PC.

    But somehow it fails to give us all the pleasure that we can have in a computer, the first thing is the display, we always prefer larger view rather than smaller, and secondly all mobile browser can not show all the languages properly that is it can not read the complex scripts like our local languages. However the problem may not occur in Unicode enable mobile phones. Today I am going to discuss the second problem that is viewing multiple languages or local languages in a mobile browser, in this tutorial I will take the Opera mini browser as an example, but you can generalised it to all the available bitmap font enabled mobile browser. So here I go.. 

Follow the following steps

1) Open your mobile browser ( eg. Opera mini)

2) Type about:config on the address bar and hit Enter

3) Now you will see multiple options

4) Find out the option called Use bitmap fonts for complex scripts

5) By default it remains as No, change it to Yes 

6) Finally click on Save

You are done, now you can view complex scripts easily on your mobile devices.

Samsung Galaxy Note for T Mobile Officially Announced

After recent rumors about the presence of Samsung Galaxy Note for T-Mobile, now they officially announcing about this smartphone. Despite lacking LTE support, the T-Mobile Galaxy Note still comes with a Qualcomm S3 chipset, instead of the Exynos 4210 used in the international version. The flip side is that this Samsung Galaxy Note gains support for what T-Mo call 4G - 42Mbps HSPA, while the Note N7000 network support is limited to 21 Mbps.

To make up for coming so late to the market the T-Mobile version comes running ICS out of box and is also SAFE-certified, which means it has a full suite of enterprise-ready features and capabilities, including support for top-tier mobile device management (MDM) providers, on-device AES256-bit encryption, enhanced support for Microsoft Exchange, as well as integrated support for a range of virtual private network (VPN) solutions.

The Samsung Galaxy Note is expected to be available from select T-Mobile retail stores and online via the companys website in the coming weeks. Theres no word on pricing or pre-orders just yet.
