Archos unveils four new Android devices ahead of their Mobile World Congress Press event. The French consumer electronics manufacturer have gone official with two new smartphones, one phablet and an eight-inches 4G slate.
First popping out from the lot, is the new Archos 50c Oxygen sporting a Octa-Core MediaTek MT6592 processor, a Cortex-A7 Central Processing Unit (CPU), clocked at 1.7GHz, a Mali 450MP4 Graphics Processing Unit (GPU), five-inches IPS technology screen of 1280 x 720 resolution display, eight gigabytes of on board memory (expandable via microSD card slot), one gigabyte of Random Access Memory (RAM), eight megapixels primary shooter with BSI sensor and LED flash, capable of 1080p video encoding, two megapixels front facing secondary camera, Bluetooth 4.0 and 3G HSPA+ networks, 2,000mAh powered battery and runs Androids version 4.2 Jelly Bean over the hood. The whole body measurements are 145 x 69.8 x 7.64 millimeters in its dimensions.
Second from the lane, is a phablet, the Archos 64 Xenon packs a Quad-Core MediaTek MT6582 chipset, Cortex-A7 CPU running at 1.3GHz, a Mali 400MP4 GPU, 6.4-inches IPS screen of 1280 x 720 resolution display, four gigs of internal memory (expandable via microSD card slot), one gigabyte of RAM, same eight megapixels sensor on the back with BSI tech and LED flash, capable of capturing 1080p videos, two megapixels front facer, 3G HSPA+ connectivity support, 2,800mAh powered battery and runs on Androids version 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box. The handset is measured at 90.6 x 170.7 x 9.3 millimeters on scale.
The third phone is the Archos 40b Titanium, featuring a Dual-Core MediaTek MT6572 SoC with Cortex-A7, speeding at 1.3GHz, four-inches IPS screen of 800 x 480 resolution pixels, four gigabytes of ROM (expandable via microSD card slot), 512 megabytes RAM, five megapixels main camera on the back with BSI sensor and LED flash light, 720p video shooting facilities, VGA webcamera, HSPA+ connections, 1,400mAh powered battery and runs again the same version of Androids mobile operating system on board. The phone is scaled at 125 x 61 x 8.5 millimeters on ruler.
Finally it is the slate time, the big guy from the companys latest announcement, the Archos 80 Helium 4G tablet, coming out of the box with a Quad-Core 1.2GHz Qualcomm MSM8926 Snapdragon 400 processor and Cortex-A7 chipset, an Adreno 305 Graphics Processing Unit (GPU), eight-inches IPS tech screen of 1024 x 764 resolution display, eight gigs on on board memory (expandable via microSD acrd slot), one gigabyte of Random Access Memory (RAM), five megapixels main camera with BSI sensor with LED flash light, 1080p video recording capabilities, two megapixels front facer, Bluetooths version 4.0 and fourth generation (4G) LTE Cat4, 3,500mAh powered battery and Android version 4.3 Jelly Bean on top. The slate is marked at 213 x 155 x 10.5 millimeters in total dimensions.
Archos from France will show case their four new announcements at their MWC trade show floor, where surprisingly the 50c Oxygen, 64 Xenon and 40b Titanium will come to the markets for about $199, respectively and the eight-incher will hit the store shelves for 249 United States Dollars.
